What is Qigong?

Qigong (pronounced “chee gung”) is an ancient Chinese healing art and health care system that integrates physical postures, movement, breathing techniques and focused intention. Qigong improves physical, emotional and mental well being, prevents disease and increases vitality.

 

  • Qi means subtle breath or vital-energy. Gong means skill cultivated through regular practice.
  • Qigong combines movement, breath work and meditation.
  • The slow gentle movements of most qigong forms can be easily adapted for anyone and can be practiced by all age groups.
