Where Mind Goes, Energy Follows
This month we are delighted to have Mary Pleil share her journey with us. Her words also provide us with clear insights into the many possibilities the practice can awaken within us. It has been a true pleasure to watch Mary’s dedication, curiosity, thoughtfulness and unfolding over the years. “Her support (energetic and in other ways) and help has been a bright light for me as a teacher and for many students she comes in contact with. I have learned much from her and gratefully look forward to our continued collaboration in sharing qigong with others.” On April 25, 9:30-11:00am you can join Mary as she will lead the World Qigong Day celebration class at the Elfin Forest Qigong Studio.
Mary’s message: I have always been interested in health and the nature of healing from practicing nursing to exploring consciousness. This April 2015 will be seven years since I was first introduced to Zhineng Qigong and met Martha. Ever since then I have been a believer in the benefits of balancing and harmonizing one’s energy and health, expanding perceptions, and promoting well-being to others in our community. Qigong is practiced for many reasons including maintaining health, healing on all levels and awakening a deeper sense of wisdom. On a personal level, Qigong has helped me to release pain, increase energy and creativity, and open to the flow of life’s blessings. Much joy can be experienced when heart and mind are in harmony. Perspectives can shift when you are open to more possibilities and understand what energy you are operating from. One of the first steps in Qigong is to develop your yi (mind). A strong yi is a combination of calmness and intention. It is said, use your yi (mind) to lead your qi or, “where mind goes, energy follows.”
By radiating care and compassion for self and others we can facilitate peace. Martha is a wonderful teacher with a big open heart and foremost to the community who strengthens our practice and raises our spirits. I have now been leading her classes when she goes to Hawaii to teach. This has been very rewarding in deepening my practice and furthering my study of the purpose and theory of Zhineng Qigong. In the future, I would like to lead a class on the Three Treasures to help others with the basics of qigong theory. From the Hunyuan Entirety Theory to the many stages of qi cultivation and practice I will forever continue this life long journey. There are numerous ways qigong improves and enhances the quality of life. My great appreciation for Zhineng Qigong has made me want to share it with others who want more ease and flow in their lives. Sending you blessings for harmony, prosperity and peace.
